Cultivating Natural Goodness: Introduction to Metta (Loving-kindness) Meditation

Four Session Class

Wednesdays, 1-2:30 pm

September 5, 12, 19, 26, 2026

Is your daily meditation practice feeling a bit dry, lifeless? Are there internal and external events in your life that are heightening your sense of of fear? Does your heart feel a little closed? If yes to any of the above questions and you wish to restore your sense of caring and wonder, come join the four-week class on Introduction to Metta, with guidance from the Metta Sutta, the Buddha’s teaching on loving-kindness. We will practice:

1. How to allow this natural state to emerge and open the heart.

2. How the practice of Metta is intimately linked to ethical conduct.

3. Experience how Metta is a foundational practice for all the other sublime states of Compassion (Karuna), Sympathetic Joy (Mudita) and Equanimity (Upekkha).

4. When Metta is integrated into mindfulness practice, it provides an enriching energetic effect on both practices.

Enhance your Metta practice today as a runway to derive maximum benefit to you and all other beings.
