Half-day

Chanting as a Joyous, Embodied Practice

Saturday, November 1, 2025, 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Description

Is your meditation practice a little dry? Do you want to improve your concentration? Do you want to learn a time-tested practice grounded in embodiment and an expression of Sangha? if any of this appeals to you, please join me in learning some basic Buddhist Chants.

Besides practicing chanting, we will contemplate if there is deeper personal meaning for you in the words themselves that have been with us for 2,600 years. We will also discuss as a community how we might integrate chanting into our daily lives. However, the overall goal is to generate some joy, dare we say "fun," while deepening our understanding of the Buddhist path.
